About Us

Welcome to our community

What Is Dancing for Well-Being?

Our groups and sessions are designed for all, no matter your experience or ability. All sessions can be done seated or standing, and there is no right or wrong steps, only variations! We welcome you to go at your own pace and level that suits you and your body.

We run regular weekly sessions for older people with health and mobility problems, and creative sessions promoting positive mental health for adults of any age. We love to lead taster sessions for various organisations; find out more here:

Work with us!

Group Leaders and Assistants - part-time

We are always keen to hear from people who have a background in dance or other movement practices, are happy creating dances and confident in leading safe dance sessions for people of all ages and abilities. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we can send on a role description.

Volunteers

We have a wonderful team of 20+ volunteers that support our sessions each day. Our volunteers help with things like setting up the space, welcoming our members, making teas and coffees, washing up and tidying away the space. We love to hear from people who might be able to commit some time to volunteer at our groups. Please get in touch if you’d like to find out more.

Our Impact

Between 2022 - 2023, we had 209 members regularly attending our weekly sessions for older people, and 586 people access our sessions led in partnership with other organisations. Over the year, we had a total of 6160 attendances at all of our sessions! More information can be found in our annual report, coming soon.
